The purpose of this accredited video program (1 HR) CE is to help reduce the frequency of needlestick injuries in acute treatment settings.

Insulin administration in acute settings usually involves syringes, which present additional risk of needlestick injury for nursing staff. Needlestick injuries to nursing staff creates physical, emotional and financial burdens.

Proper selection and use of the most current safety engineered devices along with continuous training on proper insulin injection techniques reduces the risk for needle stick injuries.
