HLD is defined as the complete elimination of all organisms except for large numbers of bacterial spores. The trophon EPR has been tested by independent laboratories against a wide range of pathogens including HPV, MRSA, herpes simplex virus, hepatitis A, B and C, Neisseria gonorrhoea, Chlamydia trachomatis and vancomycin resistant enterococci (VRE).

The trophon EPR is the only high level disinfection system proven to kill natural, infectious, high-risk HPV in laboratory testing, using the manufacturer’s FDA-cleared conditions.

A peer-reviewed microbial efficacy study published in the Journal of Infection and Public Health showed trophon EPR met a broad range of international standards for high level disinfection and concluded that the adoption of next generation devices [such as the trophon EPR] “may help to decrease infection risk and improve patient safety”.
